Brand and Consumer Architecture should be fused. Why is it one or the other?

Brand Image: “Brand image is the sum total of your customer’s experience across all contact points with your product or service.”

The trouble GM is having with their brands is differentiation of customer experience. The Pontiac experience is just not that different from Chevy. No matter how hard they try to talk us into it – it is what it is and don’t tell me different.

Brands are the result of customer experience and NOT the other way around. Brands are important because they are built on the backs of customer experiences. Those companies who don’t understand that will lose their brands.
